Antonio Gettys, Chair

Antonio S. Gettys from Charlotte, North Carolina. He has 30 years of community involvement. He has volunteered with the Young Democrats of Charlotte. Mr. Gettys served as a Mecklenburg County chaplain with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, providing mentorship and encouragement to inmates. Further endeavors included hosting a weekly Christian radio broadcast on WGIV radio called the “Lite Nite Show.”

Mr. Gettys later served with the Mecklenburg General Baptist Association where the late Rev. Dr. Lincoln C. Lee of Silver Mount Missionary Baptist Church was the moderator. While there, he established the Associate Minister’s Fellowship and also held positions as associate pastor and pastor of Greater Living Hope Ministries.

Mr. Gettys was previously employed with Argos USA for twelve years. During his tenure, he advanced from a driver, to a plant manager. While managing the daily operations of the plant, he was in charge of a team of 12-15 employee drivers.
In 2021, he founded Maggie’s Landscaping & Designs, Inc., which serves over 150 clients and mentors young entrepreneurs in the landscape industry.
Currently, he serves as the Vice-President of his HOA board and leads the architectural control committee. Mr. Gettys spends his spare time traveling, repairing antique cars, and reading motivational literature. His volunteer experience will contribute to Charles H. Flowers Foundation, Inc.
